About The Position

Pit Manager HIRING IMMEDIATELY Location: Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025 Schedule: Full- time positions.  Shifts include weekends and holidays. Create a pleasant and professional work environment for both guests and employees. Monitors gaming regulations, performance standards and policies related to pit games to ensure gaming integrity. Adhere to and support company policies. Ensures a fair dealer rotation and updates the daily schedule.  Provides impartial decisions when problems and/or errors occur. Continually monitor games in progress for player/dealer misconduct. Responsible for checking bank roll for previous shifts to ensure accuracy. Report daily win/losses to casino managers. Inform the casino manager when a guest is dissatisfied.  Coordinates the schedule of breaks for all pit employees. Understand and effectively use the game tracking system. Maintains a visible presence on the casino floor. Supporting casino manager in delivering corrective action to employees violating department processes. Supervises the performance of subordinates on a daily basis. Responds to and resolves inquiries and complaints from employees and guests. Ensures the achievement of projects/department milestones/goals. A thorough understanding of the processes within the department. Keep employees and guests informed about special events and promotions. Communicate regularly with key customers in the casino games sector. Manage business levels on the casino floor, adding or reducing staff as needed to maximize profits. Responsible for maintaining and completing all daily paperwork. Controls keys and cards accurately and completely. Updates inventory and secures casino equipment. Informs casino managers of losses, employee behavior issues, and serious guest complaints. Assigns and performs other related duties as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent recommended. Minimum of five years of experience in casino games. At least 1 to 3 years supervisory experience in casino games. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge with all approved RA casino games, along with dealing and supervising experience. Adept at communicating and reasoning in difficult situations. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrates leadership qualities that are both authoritative and fair.  Possess a friendly and calm demeanor. Exhibits excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Must be able to provide employees with clear instructions. Demonstrates strong time management skills and efficiency. Possess the ability to deal with guests and employees professionally and courteously. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Minnesota Racing Commission. Physical, intellectual and environmental conditions: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time on the casino floor. Must be able to work flexible shifts in crowded and noisy conditions. Ability to read Aces Rewards Cards as well as table information, cards, and distinguish between different colored chips. Ability to coach individuals who have little or no experience in the casino industry.
