Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts
  • Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials, such as supports, hangers per job specifications.
  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports
  • Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut.
  • Trouble problems in the piping systems we build.
  • Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
