Turner Industries Group is accepting resumes for a Journeyman Pipefitter with a minimum of 4 years' experience in maintenance work for the Bay City, TX, area. No per diem available, ideal for local candidates 40 Hours plus, must be available to work overtime and callouts as needed NCCER highly preferred Must be able to pass craft test and safety council courses in English General Job Description: Lays out, fabricates, prepares and checks pipe against job specifications for assembly at the job site. Functional Requirements: Interprets spool sheet diagrams to determine size, shapes and angles of required pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, etc.; plans sequence of fabrication; measures and cuts pipe; cleans and prepares pipe by grinding, bends and threads pipe - may operate bending machine; assembles and joins pipe and pipe fittings; may operate hydraulic lift to relocate pipe. Qualification Standards: Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level) Written pre-employment qualification test Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Hazard Communication orientation/test Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87) Job site orientation Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place PIPEFITTER FABRICATOR (PFAB) Rev. 06/09 Mental Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards. Requirements
