About The Position

Tunista Operations Support Services LLC Regular Primary Function The Pipefitter installs or repairs water, steam, gas or other types of pipes and pipefitting. Essential Duties Laying out work and measuring to locate position of pipe from drawings or other written specifications Cutting various sizes of pipe to correct lengths with chisel and hammer, oxyacetylene torch or pipe cutting machines Threading pipe with stocks and dies Bending pipe by hand-driven or power-driven machines Assembling pipe with couplings and fastening pipe to hangers Making standard shop computations relating to pressures, flow and size of pipe required Making standard tests to determine whether finished pipes meet specifications. Ability to work as a team player while working cohesively with all levels of clients, customers, and others to ensure contract success Able to work independently, analyze situations, and make decisions with minimal supervision Supervisory Responsibilities No Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Computer literacy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently Comfort in gathering and disseminating information Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc. Ability to follow a process. Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures. Ability to multi-task efficiently. Ability to work independently to complete assignments and solve problems Knowledge of relevant standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Five (5) years of commercial/industrial experience. Documented completion of a registered apprenticeship program for pipefitter. Maintain a current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welder (CW) certification. Accredited welding school training certificate Previous military / government Logistics experience preferred, but not required. Ability to maintain a government security clearance. Ability to pass background and drug screening. Working Environment This is an on-site, fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. This position is normally 5 days a week M-F. However, weekends and after hour support may be required. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of commercial/industrial experience.
  • Documented completion of a registered apprenticeship program for pipefitter.
  • Maintain a current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welder (CW) certification.
