Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Pipefitter to join our staff located at Pasadena, TX. They must be able to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Perform other duties as assigned and have a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of tools needed to assemble, fit and repair pipes and their associated plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and pipe handling techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, precision, and the ability to work in various environments, whether indoors or outdoors, are essential.
  • Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience –5+ years of experience in industrial construction
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid TWIC card
  • Meet physical demands as listed above

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, fabricate, and maintain piping systems according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping diagrams.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and proper functionality.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
