Austin Industrial is currently seeking an Advanced Rigger to join our staff located at Pasadena, TX. This person will ensure the safe execution of all lifting and rigging operations on site. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret lifting plans and technical drawings.
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding and high-risk areas.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Work well as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid TWIC card
  • Meet physical demands as listed above

Responsibilities

  • Execute lifting and rigging tasks in accordance with site-specific lifting plans and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all lifting operations comply with relevant legislation and plants company standards.
  • Assist maintenance teams with the removal and refitting of mechanical equipment and plant components.
  • Inspect and maintain rigging loft equipment and keep accurate records.
  • Ensure plant lifting equipment meets the current lifting equipment colour codes.
  • Conduct pre-use/after-use inspections or rigging gear and lifting equipment.
  • Work safely in challenging environments, including at height, in confined spaces and near live plant and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with lifting operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
