About The Position

We are seeking a Pipefitter / Welder for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair of equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of a Central Utility Plant on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm This position requires strong welding experience along with solid pipefitting skills

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Drivers License
• 5+ years experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, pipefitting and welding
• Knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, confined space etc.)

Nice To Haves

• HVAC experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair critical facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
• Inspect, maintain and repair motors, pumps, valves, plant systems, supporting infrastructure and related mechanical systems
• Conduct brazing, soldering and welding as needed on plant and facility systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches and specifications
• Install new equipment and interpret wiring diagrams, codes and technical documentation
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve system reliability and extend equipment life
• Maintain accurate work orders and asset data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Safely operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, forklifts and other mobile equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
