About Us Hiltz Propane Systems designs, engineers, installs, and services bulk propane systems for commercial, industrial, and retail clients across the East Coast—from Maine to North Carolina. What You'll Do as a Welder / Pipefitter: Install, test, and ensure proper operation of propane piping systems, valves, meters, and storage equipment Perform cutting, threading, and stick welding on steel pipes to assemble and install system components Read and execute from schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate system installation Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to complete projects according to specifications Repair and fabricate tanks, piping, and related equipment as needed Support installation activities, including tank setting, pipe fitting, painting, and general site work Maintain tools, equipment, and materials needed for assigned projects Follow strict safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and job site hazard assessments Our Ideal Welder / Pipefitter: Experienced Welder: Brings at least 2 years of stick welding experience; experience with propane systems is a plus. Technically Skilled: Able to read and interpret schematics and detailed site drawings for accurate installations. Hands-On Worker: Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and operating in physically demanding environments. Can lift up to 75 lbs. Reliable & Safety-Focused: Follows procedures, prioritizes safety, and can be trusted in high-risk job site conditions. Team-Oriented: Works well with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently and shows up ready to contribute. Detail-Oriented: Ensures installations are accurate, safe, and aligned with technical specifications while prioritizing quality.
