Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter, with a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques and practices.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes related to piping systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents proficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality work.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Select appropriate materials and equipment for each piping task to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and defects using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to coordinate work and adhere to schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair piping systems, addressing issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
