Pipefitters work in the maintenance department of the refinery. The positions are typically straight day jobs, subject to occasional shift work, turnarounds, call outs and mandatory overtime. Pipefitters are responsible for fabrication, installation, preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of refinery piping, tubing and valves. This work takes place in all areas of the refinery, outside exposed to the weather elements and to blowing air, heat, noise and vibration. The refinery processes involve hazardous and volatile materials under high pressures. The work may take place in heights or vessels and towers and/or in confined spaces. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment.
