About The Position

The Pipe Welder will be welding and fitting Carbon and Stainless pipe. Welder will need to install hangers for his piping.

Requirements

• Must be qualified under AWS D1.1
• Must pass a 6g weld test.
• Must provide pipe wrenches, 2 hole pins and any other required tools for welding pipe and fittings.
• Must be able to work with a team of 1 to 3 people.
• Understand mechanical drawings and complete take offs.
• Experience working with stainless and carbon steel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to understand fractions, decimals, and degrees of a circle.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 or 30 hour preferred

Responsibilities

• Welds together components of products specified by layout, blueprints, diagram, and work order, welding procedures or oral instructions.
• Sets controls on welding machine in conformance with WPS.
• May weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions as qualified.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Tack assemblies together using approved WPS.
• Adheres to all company health, and safety policies.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
