About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welders for projects located in or around Baytown, TX. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $33-$36/hour, based on experience and skill level. The role involves a variety of tasks including setting up and preparing pipe components, cleaning and positioning them, setting up welding machines and flux management systems, and adjusting machine voltage, amperage, and wire feed. Responsibilities also include inspecting and cleaning welds, removing solidified slag, inspecting for defects, recovering excess flux, and performing submerged arc welding, along with other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years pipe welding experience
• Must be able to read and write English

Responsibilities

• Setting up & prep; cleaning & positioning pipe components
• Setting up welding machines & flux management systems
• Adjusting machine voltage, amperage & wire feed
• Inspecting & cleaning; removing solidified slag
• Inspecting welds for defects
• Recovering excess flux
• Submerged arc welding
• Other tasks as assigned
