About The Position

Hutco, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipefitters with three or more years of experience in the marine, commercial nuclear, or petrochemical industry. Pipefitters will be responsible for fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping in demanding environments such as shipboard and sub-assemblies.

Requirements

• Piping Drawings: Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
• Piping Materials: Experience fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.
• End Prep: Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or using Wach or Portsmouth machines.
• Pipe Hangers: Knowledge of installing pipe hangers.
• Ruler Use: Proficient in using a ruler for measurements in inches and tenths.
• Backing Rings: Ability to prep and fit-up backing rings.
• Pipe Cutting: Skilled in clean cutting or breaking pipe with a grinder.
• Bevels: Ability to hand prep V-bevels.
• Fabrication: Experience fabricating various details and assemblies from drawings.
• Pipe Bending: Skilled in pipe bending using templates and hand benders.
• Socket Fittings: Ability to fit welded sockets.
• Brazing: Ability to fit brazed joints with or without insert rings.
