Pilot sets shift hours are based on project needs. Overtime is rare, but it does happen. About the role: Primary focus is to build quality product by following processes to meet production goals. Take additional responsibilities and act as a peer leader and role model. Pilot team members carry a variety of skill sets. On top of the typical MDS day-to-day items (TRS, MES and SAP) Work Mode At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant experience with high school diploma/degree/equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of work experience in manufacturing is preferred
  • Previous trainer experience or shift lead in production.
  • Must be willing to work with devices coated with active pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Must be willing to be mobile and on feet for long periods.
  • Previous medical device experience preferred, but not required
  • This position requires proficiency in communication and understanding of English, including reading work instructions to consistently build defect free medical products.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently with limited direction.
  • Must have the ability to write as well as verbally communicate inputs/outputs.
  • Work directly with project leads, engineering leads, technicians as well as outside vendors.
  • Attend project team/build meetings.
  • Adjust their schedule based on project needs.
  • Adjust their schedule based on space and machine availability.
  • Keep a detailed Artemis tracking project time/times (some work on multiple projects).
  • Understand, adhere to and promote safety policies and practices.
  • Responsible for quality and adhere to manufacturing process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP). Proactively identify and communicate quality issues and concerns; actively pursue resolution of issues by utilizing all resources.
  • Build product by following all processes in which certified (in their most current revision), and completing other assigned work, while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics. Act as a role model to others while demonstrating optimum proficiency.
  • Demonstrate, promote and suggest ideas for Lean Manufacturing and related principles. Take an active leadership role in implementing and driving Lean activities.
  • Champion the flex strategy, rotate as necessary and work well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all communication, including written and spoken, as well as strong math skills.
  • Maintain accurate records, including training files and shop floor paperwork (SFP). Consistently ensures the team is maintaining records accurately.
  • Required to participate in Shared Responsibility. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in their implementation.
  • Understand, follow and promote all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for attending and passing all required core BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training).
  • Understand the functions of SAP, including running reports. Responsible for conducting basic and routine trouble-shooting if applicable to the area.
  • Willing to become a Certified Back-Up Trainer (CBT) as determined by the supervisor. If acting as a CBT, responsible for training others and maintaining.
