About The Position

As the Studio Manager , you won’t just manage a studio, you will help build a business. This is a great opportunity to be part of a founding team, launching the first of four franchise BODYBAR locations and shaping its culture, community, and growth from day one. You’ll drive membership and retail sales, lead daily operations, and develop a high-performing team while delivering a best-in-class member experience. A strong leader with sales acumen, a passion for wellness, and the ability to motivate and inspire will thrive in this role.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Studio Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager, or Team Lead in fitness, boutique retail, hospitality, or service-based environments.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue or quota-based goals.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, sales funnels, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using or quickly learning CRM, POS, scheduling, and sales tools.
  • Passion for wellness, sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience opening a new business or location, including presale or launch efforts, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive studio growth by leading the BODYBAR sales process from presale through ongoing operations.
  • Build opening membership momentum, achieve monthly revenue goals, and preserve long-term membership value through consistent engagement and retention efforts.
  • Lead with purpose by recruiting, training, and coaching a motivated sales team that thrives on connection, performance, and accountability.
  • Foster local community relationships through grassroots marketing, local partnerships, and networking events that amplify our presence and bring new faces through the door.
  • Create meaningful member experiences by building authentic relationships, supporting member goals, and encouraging referrals through a personal touch.
  • Maintain a polished and welcoming studio environment by upholding BODYBAR standards in cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Oversee retail operations of a 400-square-foot boutique space by partnering with a dedicated buying consultant and vendors to curate, merchandise, and manage inventory.
  • Drive incremental studio revenue while enhancing the member experience and reinforcing the BODYBAR brand aesthetic.
  • Stay organized behind the scenes by managing administrative systems, inventory, and studio supplies with efficiency and care.
  • Champion the BODYBAR experience by engaging with members before and after class, building a community that reflects everything BODYBAR stands for.
