About The Position
The Club Pianist enhances the Member experience by providing live piano music in Club dining and social spaces. This role sets the tone for elegant, welcoming evenings and supports the Club's commitment to hospitality, ambiance, and service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pianist in hospitality, restaurant, lounge, or private club environments preferred
- Strong sight-reading and improvisational skills
- Ability to read the room and tailor music to the audience and setting
- Professional demeanor and excellent reliability
- Ability to commit consistently to Friday evening availability
Responsibilities
- Perform live piano music during scheduled Club events and dining hours, primarily on Friday nights
- Create an appropriate musical atmosphere that complements dining, receptions, and social gatherings
- Maintain a versatile repertoire including jazz standards, light classical, contemporary, and popular selections suitable for a private club setting
- Adjust volume, tempo, and style based on the environment and Member experience
- Arrive prepared, on time, and professionally dressed in accordance with Club standards
- Coordinate with Club management regarding schedules, special requests, or themed events
