About The Position

Plays the piano during the Sunday morning worship service, Sunday School preliminaries, and evening evangelistic service as well as during evening meetings, revivals, and all rehearsals.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the proper methods for playing the piano.
• Ability to follow and adapt to the Music Director's lead.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read and communicate the English language.
• Ability to read music and play the piano.
• One year experience playing a piano for large groups, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plays Corps piano in accordance with acceptable practices to ensure the long life of musical instruments.
• Follows directions of praise and worship leader.
• May serve as song leader; selects music and instructs choir members.
• Plays the piano at occasional funerals and weddings.
• Performs other related work as required.
