About The Position

Duxbury High School is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified educator for the 2026-2027 school year to teach Physics. Duxbury High School provides a dynamic education that prepares students to meet, both individually and collaboratively, the challenges and opportunities of a global society. All students will pursue academic excellence, become active learners, and develop personal, social, and civic responsibility. The Duxbury High School community is comprised of 1500 students and 160 dedicated staff members. Requirements

  • Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement Physics, 8-12
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Classroom management skills that support students' social-emotional learning
  • Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching AP Physics
  • Understanding of standards-based grading
