About The Position

Physics Teacher Blacksburg High School 2026-2027 School Year Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a Physics teacher position that is available at Blacksburg High School for SY 2025-2026. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's license with appropriate endorsement to teach Physics at the high school level (Science - All endorsements or Physics endorsement)

Nice To Haves

• Hold a master’s degree in Education and/or the specific subject area
• Possesses endorsement to teach dual enrollment and AP courses

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
