UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Fort Dodge, Iowa UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. Trinity is accredited by DNV Healthcare Inc. and has achieved Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Established team of 3 physicians and 5 Advanced Practitioners Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination Leadership and committee involvement opportunities available

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B exempt)
J-1 waiver sponsorship available

Responsibilities

Average of 20-25 patients per day; no nights or weekends
No inpatient responsibilities
Hospitalist Program is responsible for serving adult and pediatric inpatients
Telephonic outpatient call only, no need to physically report to clinic/hospital
Call shared equitably by primary care providers, currently 1:14 rotation
Calls are triaged through My Nurse Call Center, very minimal call volume
Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
General family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.
Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
