About The Position

Under supervision of the Center Manager, Medical Director and Quality Assurance Supervisor in compliance with the Olgam Life Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and State/Federal regulations, the Employee must ensure donor suitability and health and product integrity.

Requirements

  • EMT-B licensure in the state (Florida) where the center is located (Licensure must be maintained).
  • Able to speak, read and legibly write English.
  • Able to use computer.
  • CPR certified (certification must be maintained).

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service by responding to donor needs and expectations in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maintain certification and annual re-certification requirements of the Olgam Life Training program.
  • Knowledgeable in Olgam Life donor/Unit Management systems, state and Federal regulations, FDA approved SOP's, EMEA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP and all internal Olgam Life Policies.
  • Maintain all permanent files and records in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Proficient in advanced Olgam Life donor/Unit management systems navigation and queries.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of Biomedical Technician.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of Physician Substitute.
  • Approval of suitable plasma Pheresis donors by taking medical history and performing physical examination on all donors in compliance with Olgam Life Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current state and federal guidelines.
  • Timely review of accumulated donor testing data to determine a donor's continued suitability for plasma Pheresis.
  • Provide appropriate medical treatment for donation reactions.
  • Provide confidential and informative counseling to unsuitable donors.
  • Assist with management and administration of testing and follow up of employee exposures.
  • Communicate and submit timely reports as required by the center management and medical director.
  • Support center management in achieving quality and operational goals.
  • Administer all immunizations in compliance with established protocol.
  • Ensure concurrent, legible and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner and report all equipment in need of repair.
  • Report all unsafe situations to supervisor immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
