Job Summary Manages the new physician recruitment sourcing of candidates through various databases, websites, job boards and maintaining relationships with medical schools and residency programs. Maintains relationship and tracks candidate through the recruitment process. Works closely with the hospital's administrative and development team to secure quality physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources; or related field of study preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • Minimum (3) years of physician recruitment or closely related healthcare recruiting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and implement change.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with physician practices to obtain their recruitment opportunity information and conduct initial contract discussions.
  • Markets and manages physician opportunity on various physician websites and job boards.
  • Generates blast emails about opportunities to identified physicians.
  • Screens candidates for appropriate opportunities in the system for both recruitment and employment opportunities.
  • Coordinates site visits (schedules, prepares agendas, makes travel arrangements if needed, etc.) and facilitates next steps with interested campuses.
  • Maintains and builds relationship with candidate throughout the entire recruitment process.
  • Utilizes tracking system and prepares a recruitment reports.
  • Attends job/career fairs, residency programs/lunches and follow-up with candidate leads.
  • Manages vendor and job board contracts.
  • Manages relationship with coordinators at medical schools and residency programs.
  • Identify residency opportunities and coordinate events.
  • Coordinates annual conferences.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
