About The Position

Recruiter will promote the growth of MyMichigan Health by focusing on recruiting physicians into the region in both direct employed and private practice settings.

Requirements

  • Verbal, written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and excellent organizational skills required.
  • Must have the ability to handle multitasks.
  • Three (3) or more year’s physician recruitment experience preferred.
  • Database experience is preferred.

  • Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
  • Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
  • Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).
  • Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
  • Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
  • Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
  • Physical Demand Level: Sedentary. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 0-10 lbs.
  • BACH Degree in Healthcare Related Field.

Responsibilities

  • Identify manpower and develop candidate search strategy, then evaluate potential candidate, facilitate interview process and hiring decision.
  • Increase flow of viable candidates by contacting residency programs, attending national, regional, and local conferences, developing working relationships with recruitment firms and sourcing agencies, developing and implementing integrated mass media marketing approaching using journal, online and direct mail advertising.
  • Develop system wide criteria and implementation plans for effective recruitment programs. Includes maintaining current knowledge of immigration, regulatory, HR and credentialing policies, Corporate Compliance programs and other policy and procedures.
  • Act as department liaison. Maintain open and timely communication with administration, Strategic Business Units and medical staff leadership system wide.
  • Maintain database of viable candidates and activity tracking and produce reports as requested. Develop a rapport and provide leadership to physicians and mid-level providers. Assists in identifying and onboarding locum tenens physicians.
