About The Position

The Physician Recruiter is a full-time position responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment of ophthalmologists across multiple states. This role requires a strategic, experienced recruiter with a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and physician hiring practices. The position is benefits-eligible and requires a minimum of 5 years of physician recruiting experience, with a preference for candidates who have at least 3 years of experience in ophthalmology and multi-state recruiting.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of physician recruiting experience.
Proven success in sourcing and hiring physicians in competitive markets.
Strong understanding of physician employment models and healthcare industry dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience using Paylocity or similar ATS platforms.
Travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience recruiting in ophthalmology.
Multi-state recruiting experience.
Familiarity with physician compensation models, contracts, and onboarding processes.
Understanding of immigration processes (e.g., J-1, H-1B visas) is a plus.
Experience with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Doximity, and PracticeLink.

Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle recruitment for ophthalmologists, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to understand hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, sourcing platforms, and industry events.
Manage candidate experience and communication throughout the recruitment process.
Maintain accurate records and workflows in Paylocity, the organization’s applicant tracking system.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
Represent the organization at physician recruitment events, conferences, and job fairs.
