Summary: Under the strategic direction of the Vice President Physician Recruitment and Engagement and/or the operational direction of the Director of Physician Recruitment, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of the recruitment and staffing process from development of recruitment plan, coordination of visit and evaluation to hiring of physician.

Requirements

  • Bachelors: Business Administration (Required)
  • Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. May require specialized knowledge of a business line. Exhibits excellent communication skills, written and verbally, and is comfortable interacting with key stakeholders independently and professionally.
  • Two (2) years of experience in business development, health care recruitment, Human Resource Recruitment or similar role.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Management or related field required.
  • Associates degree with 4 years of related experience in lieu of Bachelors degree is acceptable.

Nice To Haves

  • Fellow of Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with pre-employment onboarding of all new recruits and maintains communication with recently recruited physicians as part of the engagement and retention process.
  • Conducts pre-screening and qualifying of candidates through vetting processes, and presents qualifying candidates to Search Committee; coordinates and conducts interviews; maintains all selection documentation in accordance with procedures including applicant tracking.
  • Attends recruiting events such as job fairs, residency/fellowship open houses, and partners with contingent and retained search firms and maintains relationships with professional specialty-specific organizations resulting in increased candidate pools.
  • Develops a strategic talent search plan is developed to include advertising through print media, electronic mediums, professional organizations, recruiting events and conferences, referrals, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Develops the manpower staffing needs analysis and consults with key stakeholders on their staffing needs and timeline, and developing skill specific job profiles.
