About The Position

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking well-rounded, diagnostic radiologists (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank) to join our rapidly expanding academic imaging team. The academic practice has a long-standing, collegial relationship with the nearby Veterans Administration hospital and the primary responsibility of the successful applicant will be to provide general diagnostic imaging coverage for this site. Why Join Us? No call or evenings required! 6-day clinical work week (M-F 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 8AM to 4PM). 8 days off following each week of coverage! J-1 visa waiver sponsorship offered for eligible candidates. Active involvement in the diagnostic radiology residency program by teaching residents and medical students. Practice Highlights: Engaging community radiology work with diverse and academically stimulating case mix. Reasonable daily imaging volumes of 80-120 total cases (30-40 CTs/MRIs). Work with a dedicated team of fellowship-trained radiologists, nurses, and specialized technologists to provide integrated, patient-centered care. No IR procedures, PET/nuclear medicine, or mammography required for this opportunity. Requirements

  • MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
  • Board certified/eligible in Radiology
  • Eligible for West Virginia medical licensure
  • Well-rounded diagnostic radiology skillset, including basic fluoroscopy

Responsibilities

  • Provide general diagnostic imaging coverage for the Veterans Administration hospital site.
  • Teach residents and medical students as part of the diagnostic radiology residency program.
