About The Position
Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) has an immediate opening for a full-time Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist will play a key role in expansion and implementation of our consultative Behavioral Health Program. This role will combine direct clinical care with program leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for mental health innovation and community impact. This position offers excellent growth potential and opportunity for leadership within a well-established, physician-led medical group.Location: Santa Rosa, California Opportunity details: Robust referral network from a strong base of primary care providers and patients within the Sutter Health system No call obligations Multidisciplinary collaboration with psychologists, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and other clinicians Focus on outpatient care, with attention to psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, risk assessments, psychotropic medication management and crisis intervention. Opportunities for program development, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching (if desired) Leadership pathways for physicians interested in clinical or administrative roles Integrated EMR (EPIC) Strong office support staff
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Strong interest or experience in program development and leadership with a multidisciplinary team
