About The Position

Fairview is seeking is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team in a moonlighting role at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly compensation, and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional mental health care. Practice Details: Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry Shift Structure: 8-hour moonlighting shifts at $180/hour with optional 16-hour off-premise call slots available at $45/hr Call Coverage: Includes daytime call coverage and overnight/remote call, integrated into the hospital's built-in coverage model Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health and substance-related disorders. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications. Collaborate on treatment decisions with other care providers. Participate in crisis stabilization and coordinate care transitions as needed. Complete timely and accurate documentation, including coding and billing. Adhere to medical staff bylaws and maintain compliance with organizational policies and standards. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program (required)
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry (ABMS or AOA)
  • Current Minnesota Medical License (MD/DO) and BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Addiction, Geriatric, or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred
