About The Position

Fairview is seeking is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team in a moonlighting role at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly compensation, and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional mental health care. Practice Details: Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry Shift Structure: 8-hour moonlighting shifts at $180/hour with optional 16-hour off-premise call slots available at $45/hr Call Coverage: Includes daytime call coverage and overnight/remote call, integrated into the hospital’s built-in coverage model About the Facility: Capitol Park Hospital is purpose-built to support patients with acute mental health needs in a safe, calming, and therapeutic environment. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program (required)
• Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry (ABMS or AOA)
• Current Minnesota Medical License (MD/DO) and BLS certification

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in Addiction, Geriatric, or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health and substance-related disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate on treatment decisions with other care providers.
• Participate in crisis stabilization and coordinate care transitions as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation, including coding and billing.
• Adhere to medical staff bylaws and maintain compliance with organizational policies and standards.
