About The Position

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Physician - Adult Psychiatry Inpatient to join the Fairview medical team at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. Practice Details: This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role that includes coverage during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays, as well as participation in the call rotation to ensure 24/7 continuity of care. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescent/adult and/or geriatric inpatients. Lead multidisciplinary Capitol Park treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and social workers. Participate in daily clinical rounds and team meetings. Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Capitol Park behavioral health staff. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital program development. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school (Fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry or Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred.)
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in Minnesota

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care and/or geriatric care preferred
  • Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred
