About The Position
Geisinger is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physicians to join our expanding team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity pediatric emergency care while contributing to system-wide innovation, education, and leadership. At Geisinger, you’ll work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of pediatric emergency professionals, including: Over 50 certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine nurses across the system In-house Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists available 24/7 Certified Child Life Specialists to support children and families during care Advanced practice providers (APPs) and emergency medicine physicians Fellowship-trained PEM physicians who lead initiatives in education, quality improvement, and clinical innovation Collaborative subspecialty support from nearly every pediatric medical and surgical specialty within our 90-bed children’s hospital A culture of team-based care, continuous learning, and shared decision-making You’ll be part of a tight-knit, mission-driven group that values mentorship, professional development, and improving pediatric readiness across the region. Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) is a 274-bed acute care hospital and the only Level II Trauma Center in Luzerne County. Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physicians
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
Benefits
- Starting salary: $350,000
- Fellowship stipend: $2,500/month from offer acceptance to graduation
