Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Fully licensed as a doctor of medicine to practice medicine in Mississippi
- Board certified obstetrician-gynecologist
- The medical license shall have no restrictions and prior action by the medical licensing authority shall be disclosed
- Current Controlled Drug Substance license and DEA license
Responsibilities
- Obtain medical histories and conduct medical assessments and clinical exams with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology
- Perform and/or order appropriate diagnostic tests to diagnose disorders and provide treatment.
- Prescribe appropriate medications.
- Educate patients about disease, disease prevention, and recommend medications or management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Provide antenatal and post-partum medical care during pregnancy and childbirth.
- Good clinical knowledge base and familiarity with evidence-based practices.
- Follows relevant medical policies and procedures
