About The Position

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology , is seeking a full-time OBGYN specialist who will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center. The selected physician will join a robust team of over 35 faculty members, 25 residents, maternal-fetal medicine and gynecologic oncology fellows. As a faculty member of the Specialist Division, you will supervise residents and students, as well as provide consultation to certified nurse midwives. The ambulatory practice includes care in outpatient private clinics, supervision of resident clinics and coverage of community-based clinics. The position provides a competitive benefits package. Requirements

MD, DO or equivalent
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Nice To Haves

Experience in menopause and/or vulvovaginal care highly desirable

Responsibilities

Ambulatory care and inpatient care, including night and weekend Labor and Delivery and gynecology coverage
Provide attendance and presentation at student, resident, and fellowship teaching conferences
Guide and assist the house staff and students in preparing talks for meetings, in writing publications, and in conducting and presenting the results from research projects.
Be an example of an academic physician by conducting clinical research in the Division.
