About The Position

This position offers a unique hybrid OB/GYN opportunity that integrates outpatient clinical care with inpatient responsibilities as part of our OB Hospitalist team. The role is essential in delivering comprehensive women's health services, managing routine and complex obstetric cases, and supporting the high-quality care provided within our Birthplace. This position plays a significant role in strengthening continuity of care and enhancing patient experience within Southern.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred.
Open to new or recent graduates.
Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based care.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive prenatal care, well-woman exams, preconception counseling, and management of high-risk pregnancies (with MFM support as needed).
Deliver gynecological services including annual exams, contraceptive counseling, management of menstrual disorders, and minor in-office procedures.
Manage laboring patients in the Birth Place and respond to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
Perform gynecologic surgeries in the OR or ASC.
Collaborate with nurses, midwives, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes.
Participate in L&D protocols, quality initiatives, and ensure high standards of patient-centered care.
Provide 24/7 supported care in a setting with full midwifery coverage.
