About The Position

Families Together of Orange County (FTOC) is a rapidly growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Tustin, CA looking for a full-time or part-time Physician with OB/GYN Board certification or Board eligibility to lead an OB and GYN practice at a busy Community Clinic within a group practice of physicians and APPs (NPs and Pas). The majority of patients are Spanish speaking; however, all of the support staff are bi-lingual. Additionally, an interpreter services system is also available for utilization via a third party vendor. FTOC provides an array of services via various models, including office-based primary care face-to-face services; mobile medical unit in the community; telehealth/telemedicine in our virtual clinic. FTOC provides various services beyond primary care, including Dental, Vision, Mammography, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health (Therapy & Psychiatric Services), Infectious Diseases, Covid-19 vaccine/test site, and much more. Requirements

  • Unrestricted MD license to practice in the state of California required
  • Minimum 1 years’ clinical experience as a practicing in specialty
  • Board Certified or Board eligible
  • Able to get Hospital privileges
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with children and adults
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills and ability to represent FTOC to a broad public.
  • Results-oriented, adept at planning, prioritizing, organizing and following through.

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients through pregnancy and delivery at a local hospital.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination to diagnose patients’ condition.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, or examination results.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene and disease prevention.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Coordinate work with social workers, pharmacists, and other provider staff.
  • Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
  • Operate to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
  • Participate in training of residents, medical students, and other health care professionals.
  • Prepare government or organizational reports which include birth, death, and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or medical status of individuals.
