About The Position
MemorialCare Medical Group (MCMG) is looking for a fellowship-trained Nuclear Medicine physician for a full-time employment opportunity at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's and Women's Hospital in Long Beach, California. Must be board-certified (or eligible) in Nuclear Medicine. Job Description and Practice Information Full gamut of nuclear medicine, including adult and pediatric imaging Comprehensive cancer center with high-volume oncological imaging Proficiency in PET/ CT (including PSMA, DOTATATE PET) Radiopharmaceutical therapies (Y-90, Lutathera, Pluvicto) Cardiac nuclear medicine/SPECT CT, cardiac amyloid scintigraphy, lymphoscintigraphy Participate in specialized tumor board coverage Flexible schedule to include onsite and remote on-call shifts Opportunity to practice 100% subspecialized nuclear medicine or participate in radiology coverage, as desired In-house licensing/credentialing team 24/7 PACS/IT support The MemorialCare Radiology department at Long Beach Medical Center is a subspecialized group of MemorialCare Medical Group (MCMG) employed physicians serving a level 2 trauma center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and Todd Cancer Institute. We are an innovative, collegial and highly respected practice which consistently delivers exceptional services to our hospitals, referring physicians and patients. MCMG is a physician-led organization with more than 400 employed providers across 25 specialties. MemorialCare is a nonprofit integrated delivery system which includes four premier hospitals - Long Beach Medical Center, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, Orange Coast Medical Center and Saddleback Medical Center; medical groups - MemorialCare Medical Group and Greater Newport Physicians; a health plan - MemorialCare Select Health Plan; and numerous outpatient health centers, imaging centers, surgery centers and dialysis centers throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- ABR Board Certified or Board Eligible with Nuclear Medicine fellowship or ABNM certified
- Unrestricted California medical license (or eligible)
- Eligible to obtain Radioactive Materials License
- Resident of California
- California medical license (active or eligible)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a hospital or inpatient setting preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience preferred
