About The Position

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks two (2) full-time Neurosurgeons to diagnose and evaluate adult patients suffering from various neurologic conditions, particularly patients presenting with complex spine pathologies, such as abnormal spinal curvatures and spinal deformities, and educate them on surgical and non-surgical treatment options; plan, implement and perform neurosurgical treatments; act as Supervising Physician to Physician Assistants (PA) in neurosurgical clinic and operating room; participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Will work at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group's offices located at 1 Towne Park Plaza, Norwich, CT 06360, 45 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT 06360, and 100 Perkins Farm Drive, Mystic, CT 06355, as well as at Backus Hospital, 326 Washington Street, Norwich, CT 06360 and Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Avenue, Willimantic, CT 06226.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent
• completion of a Neurosurgery residency and a U.S. Complex Spine Surgery fellowship
• possession of or eligibility for U.S. or international board certification in Neurosurgery
• the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
