About The Position

The Physician Liaison (also known as Provider Outreach & Growth Partner) is responsible for building and maintaining strong referral relationships with physicians and community partners across the Greensboro and surrounding North Carolina markets. This is a highly visible, field-based role focused on territory development, community presence, and driving awareness and access to Above and Beyond Therapy’s services. This role blends relationship management, strategic outreach, and community engagement and is ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative, external-facing position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare outreach, provider relations, physician liaison, medical sales, or community partnership roles (ABA, pediatrics, behavioral health, therapy, or healthcare services strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong territory management, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Comfortable with frequent local travel and field-based work.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using CRM tools or tracking outreach activity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diagnosing physicians, PCPs, developmental pediatricians, schools, daycares, hospitals, therapists (OT, SLP, PT), and community organizations.
  • Manage a defined Greensboro territory with a structured, strategic outreach plan to drive referral growth and strengthen provider relationships.
  • Conduct in-person provider visits (targeting 6–8 visits per day, primarily Tuesday–Thursday).
  • Proactively introduce Above and Beyond Therapy to new referral partners through in-person visits, calls, and follow-up touchpoints.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up cadence with existing partners to strengthen long-term referral relationships.
  • Track all outreach activity, provider interactions, and referral pipeline in CRM tools.
  • Develop and execute a territory growth plan in partnership with the State Director and leadership team.
  • Identify new referral sources, underserved markets, and partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor referral trends and market feedback to help inform expansion and marketing strategies.
  • Act as the “voice of the field” by sharing provider insights, competitive intel, and community needs with leadership.
  • Represent Above and Beyond Therapy at community events, medical offices, school meetings, conferences, and autism-focused events (2+ events per month).
  • Help plan and attend ABT-hosted community events (quarterly family events, open houses, etc.).
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and trusted resource for providers and families.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on localized outreach strategies.
  • Engage appropriately in local social media groups and professional networks to build awareness and community presence.
  • Distribute educational materials and resources to referral partners.
