Position Overview The Physician Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and community relations team to increase patient referrals and enhance the visibility of our practice within the medical community. This role requires a strategic approach to developing and executing outreach programs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a physician liaison role or similar position in healthcare marketing/business development.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with referring physicians, medical groups, and healthcare facilities.
  • Conduct regular visits to referring offices to provide updates on services, new physicians, and other relevant information.
  • Address any concerns or questions from referring providers promptly and professionally.
  • Outreach and Marketing: Plan and execute outreach programs and events, such as educational seminars, lunch-and-learns, and networking events.
  • Distribute marketing materials and educational resources to referring offices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies and campaigns to increase referrals.
  • Communication and Education: Serve as the primary point of contact for referring physicians, ensuring they have all necessary information about our services and physicians.
  • Educate referring offices on our practice’s services, capabilities, and referral processes.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on the needs and preferences of referring physicians.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze referral patterns and trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present reports on outreach activities and referral metrics to the Medical Director and the VP of Operations.
  • Utilize Salesforce software to manage and document interactions with referring providers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless referral process.
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss outreach strategies and share insights from the field.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new services and programs based on feedback from referring physicians.
