Job Summary: The Business Development Representative will be responsible for building business relationships with medical providers, customers and community leaders affiliated with all Alabama therapy clinics under the Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists brand. This team member will establish an ongoing referral network that will result in multiple referrals and long-term professional relationships with the Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists referral groups. While this role focuses on the growth of 5 outpatient locations, the Marketing Representative will be an employee of Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists, reporting to the Vice President of Sales/Business Development. Our ideal candidate has previous experience with implementing a marketing/sales plan to both maintain the current customer base and establish/grow new referral relationships. This candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, is driven by stretch goals, and takes initiative to get things done. This candidate must also be confident and persuasive in guiding the sales process. This is NOT a remote position.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred - associate degree required (minimum).
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 1 year (Healthcare Sales Preferred) with a demonstrated ability to bring existing physician relationships
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel locally throughout various markets (must have reliable transportation)
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with technology including CRM platforms (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent face-to-face communication skills and a professional speaking ability.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management prowess.
  • Independence and Follow-up: Disciplined to work autonomously; adept at identifying and pursuing new leads.
  • Energy and Confidence: High-level of energy, drive, and confidence in public relations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while identifying and prioritizing tasks.
  • Professionalism: Adherence to professional dress code and demeanor.
  • Tools and Mobility: Proficient use of a smartphone and possession of a current and valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Seek and establish new physician referral relationships = 40%
  • Maintain and cultivate existing referral relationships = 25%
  • Collect and analyze referral statistics, input, and track all relevant data pertinent to the role = 15%
  • Foster community awareness through collaborative event engagement and fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisor = 10%
  • Collaborate and contribute to online marketing campaigns and initiatives = 10%
  • Supports and grows existing account base
  • Assists under-performing contracts to meet sales/visit targets by training, making sales calls and/or augmenting clinic marketing efforts as directed
  • Develops referral target strategies based on local referral trends
  • Owns the local instance of our CRM software platform, tracking activities and referral trends within this platform, and entering all daily sales activity
  • Works closely with the Direct-to-Consumer marketing team to establish cohesive marketing programs that impact both patients and referral sources
  • Collaborate with Clinical/Regional Directors to increase the scope of messaging to potential referral partners
  • Conducts weekly sales calls with the VP and bi-weekly with related team, focusing on establishing target account lists and account development
  • Coordinates educational/community activity programs to promote clinic(s) and capabilities
  • Expands and develops essential leadership skills to meet immediate and future objectives
  • Seeks new customers, either within known accounts or new business found through prospecting or market data
