Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in New York City, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester. We are looking for a Physician Lead of Genesis Quality to oversee the HIV/Hepatitis, STI, Tuberculosis, and PREP care to join our teams in Patchogue, Amityville, and Brentwood. The incoming candidate will work closely with the Quality medical director for the program and with the Regional Medical lead.

Requirements

Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)
Active/Valid license as a MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
Leadership Experience in Infectious Disease specialty
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

Candidate will provide Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine care for patients with HIV/Hepatitis/STI.
Participate in Tuberculosis care in collaboration with local DOH.
Participate in Case Conference with care managers.
Help with other general outpatient infectious disease referrals.
Work collaboratively with other Internal medicine, family medicine, women’s health, MD, NP and PA’s
Oversee quality of the Infectious Disease programs
Assist during AIDS institute and Ryan white grant audits.
Supervise residents who may be interested in an elective rotation on occasion.
