About The Position
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire Hospitalists to join their established Hospitalist Program in Jackson, CA. Flexible Schedule: 13 shifts per month 12-hour day shifts (avg workload of 11 - 14 patients) 12-hour night shifts (avg workload of 2-6 admits) Differentials for night shifts Program Structure includes: ICU Coverage (6 bed) Vent Management Scheduling: Schedules are made 3 months in advance Physicians can expect to work a mix of rounding and night admit shifts every month Physicians (in general) have 2 weekends off each month Rounding is scheduled in 5–7-day blocks; can be longer or shorter if preferred Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is a vibrant and talented community committed to delivering safe, affordable and high-quality care. Our multi-specialty medical group is comprised of over 1,600 clinicians practicing in seven counties in northern California, most within a 50-mile radius of Sacramento. SMG contains primary care and specialty Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians -- nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, licensed clinical social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists, who make up about 20% of our group. Requirements
- MD or DO degree (or equivalent medical degree) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and board certification or board-eligibility in Internal Medicine (for many positions) at time of hire or Family Medicine with 2 years of direct experience.
- Valid medical licensure in the State of California (or eligibility to obtain it) prior to starting.
