Physician - Hematologist Medical Oncologist
About The Position
Join a thriving outpatient oncology practice with FirstHealth of the Carolinas. We are seeking a compassionate Hematologist/Oncologist to become part of our dedicated cancer care team in Sanford, North Carolina. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment—without the burden of inpatient call. Position Highlights About the Opportunity: Outpatient-only schedule — no inpatient consults or hospital rounds. Established referral base with consistent patient flow. Team-based care: supported by an experienced NP, RN, CMA, and full admin staff. Infusion suite on site with chemo-certified nurses. Access to system-wide support including specialty pharmacy, nurse navigators, and integrative medicine. Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards for collaborative case reviews. Clinical trials support is available if interested in research. Our clinical trials program received the Gold Seal Award from SCOR and NCI. Benefit from the resources of the new ACoS accredited FirstHealth Cancer Center in Pinehurst —a state-of-the-art, 120,000-square-foot facility offering fully integrated oncology care. Requirements
- Completion of ACGME- or AOA-approved residency and fellowship programs and board certification.
- Clean background, unrestricted NC medical licensure, NC DEA and AHA BLS certification.
