About The Position
The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states, including five institutes. It also provides management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. WVUHS Medical Group is seeking an Orthopedic-Hand Physician to practice in Martinsburg, WV. The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine providers of WVU Medicine offer a full range of services including diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the musculoskeletal system. The Eastern Panhandle location offers a rural atmosphere and lower cost of living with easy accessibility to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, West Virginia’s largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality, comprised of a network of 25 hospitals and their affiliated clinics, anchored by J.W. Ruby Memorial in Morgantown. The system has over 35,000 employees, 4,000 clinicians, and serves hundreds of thousands of people annually with over 4.5 million patient visits. University Health Associates (UHA) is a private, not-for-profit corporation of clinical faculty members of the WVU School of Medicine and School of Dentistry, and advanced practice providers, operating and staffing clinics and hospitals throughout West Virginia and surrounding states.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- Eligible to obtain state medical license
- Completed an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Completed a Hand Surgery fellowship
- Board certified/eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment
