About The Position

AtlantiCare is seeking a mission-driven Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to join the core faculty of its community-based residency program. This program is in partnership with AtlantiCare’s Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which has a long history of providing care to under-resourced populations. This unique opportunity combines clinical excellence, teaching, and service, allowing the physician to make a significant impact on health equity. The AtlantiCare’s Family Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME-accredited 4-4-4 program, emphasizing a community-based, patient-centered approach. Residents and faculty provide care at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and the FQHC continuity clinic. As a core faculty member, the physician will be instrumental in training the next generation of family physicians, engaging in all aspects of medical education from clinic and classroom instruction to curriculum design.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine (or Board Eligible within one year)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey
  • Demonstrated commitment to underserved populations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Experience in community-based teaching or FQHC settings

Responsibilities

  • Educate and guide residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Provide high-quality, full-spectrum family medicine care at our FQHC-affiliated clinic.
  • Help shape our residency curriculum with an emphasis on community health, health disparities, and evidence-based practice.
  • Lead or support initiatives in QI, community research, or population health.
  • Partner with local organizations to extend health education and services beyond clinic walls.
