Geriatric Medicine Faculty Physician The Geriatric Medicine Faculty Physician is a clinical and educational faculty member responsible for the design, delivery, and oversight of geriatrics education for the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Programs. This individual provides clinical care and supervision primarily in outpatient, long-term care, and post-acute settings, and ensures compliance with ACGME geriatrics training requirements across both programs. Optional inpatient or consultative geriatrics involvement may be available based on institutional need and faculty interest but is not an expectation of the role. The position supports a new osteopathic medical school and an expanding graduate medical education enterprise with a strong commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered, and community-based care of older adults. Clinical Responsibilities (60%) Provide direct patient care to older adults Supervise and teach residents and medical students during geriatrics-focused ambulatory and post-acute clinical experiences Promote evidence-based geriatric practices Optional: Participate in inpatient consultative geriatrics or teaching activities if mutually agreed upon Educational Responsibilities (40%) Serve as designated geriatrics faculty for both Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Programs in accordance with ACGME Program Requirements Provide structured didactic and experiential teaching in core geriatric domains. Supervise, assess, and provide formative and summative feedback to residents and medical students Participate in milestone-based evaluations and provide input to the Clinical Competency Committee as appropriate Assist with development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of geriatrics curricula across Undergraduate Medical Education and Graduate Medical Education
