The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a gastroenterologist faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained, board certified or equivalent, and eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri. About the position: Full spectrum of general gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital-based practice, and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults. Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills but not required: ERCP and EUS. Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students. Gastroenterology team comprised of 15 Gastroenterologists, 6 Transplant Hepatologists, 3 IBD Faculty and 22 APPs 12 Endoscopy suites - and planning for additional rooms with current expansion Participate in educational conferences.
