Work with a dedicated and caring organization and start doing your life's best work. We are currently seeking Gastroenterologists in the Augusta, ME area. Location: VA Medical Center Augusta, ME. Pay Rate: $226 per year. Sign-on bonus: $5,000 with a two-year commitment. Benefits: Health insurance. Dental insurance. Vision insurance. 401k 11 paid federal holidays. Paid sick leave. Paid vacation. Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 7:30am–4:00pm, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program
Board Certification or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Any active state medical license
Active BLS & ACLS life support certifications
Active DEA registration

Responsibilities

Contractor’s physician(s) shall provide comprehensive clinical gastroenterology services including the full range of colonoscopy and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures such as:
Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy via colostomy
Colonoscopy w/biopsy(ies)
Colonoscopy w/ablation of tumor/polyp/lesion
Colonoscopy w/removal of tumor/polyp/lesion by hot forceps
Colonoscopy w/removal of tumor/polyp/lesion by snare technique
Colonoscopy w/out biopsy
Colonoscopy w/ submucosal
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
EGD diagnostic
EGD w/biopsy(ies)
EGD w/removal of tumor/polyp/lesion by hot forceps
EGD w/removal of tumor/polyp/lesion by snare technique
