About The Position
Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team in Jackson, CA! We are seeking a motivated and mission‑driven Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join our rural residency program. I recommend you check out the 8 min tour video of all the sites (top left): https://padlet.com/sutterfmrp/interview Position Highlights 0.5-0.7 FTE Faculty/Teaching + 0.3–0.5 FTE Clinical (flexible and negotiable) Core faculty rate: $171/hr (up to 0.7 FTE available) Work closely with Sacramento and Davis Faculty Ideal Candidate Passion for teaching, curriculum involvement, and faculty development Inpatient experience is a plus OB optional, but welcomed Program & Community Rural, full‑scope Family Medicine with high complexity Diverse patient population with significant medical and social challenges Requires dedication, follow‑through, and commitment to continuity
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine - Required
- Must be qualified and appropriately credentialed physicians capable of providing clinical care and resident education. - Required
- Must maintain active clinical skills and provide direct patient care to model appropriate practice for residents. - Required
- Must be able to teach, supervise, and evaluate residents using ACGME competency‑based assessment frameworks.- Required
- Must participate in curriculum development, resident assessment, and program evaluation, contributing to continuous program improvement. - Required
Nice To Haves
- Inpatient experience is a plus
- OB optional, but welcomed
- Must want to do a variety of procedures
