About The Position

Families Together of Orange County (FTOC) is a rapidly growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Tustin, CA, looking for a part-time experienced Physician licensed to practice in California. The ideal candidate will provide the full scope of primary care services, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. The majority of patients are Spanish speaking; however, all of the support staff are bilingual. Additionally, an interpreter services system is available via a third-party vendor. FTOC provides an array of services via various models, including office-based primary care, face-to-face services, mobile medical units in the community, and telehealth/telemedicine in our virtual clinic. FTOC provides various services beyond primary care, including Dental, Vision, Mammography, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, OB/GYN, Behavioral Health (Therapy & Psychiatric Services), Infectious Diseases, Covid-19 vaccine/test site, and much more. Requirements

  • Currently licensed to work in the State of California as a Physician; current DEA certificate; current CPR certificate.
  • Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
  • Must have prior outpatient primary care experience
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with high-quality standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, facilitating teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with California statute and professional practice guidelines.
  • Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at the clinic.
  • Review incoming diagnostic and consultative reports, sign, date, and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Participate in staff outreach and off-site health care programs service area as assigned by the Medical Director.
  • Comply with the established Infection Control policies, which include personally utilizing universal precautions. Ensure compliance by support staff.
  • Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop a health care support team by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures (Optional)
  • Participate in after-hours call rotation (Optional)
